Post For First Week of the Year

All,

Thank you for your hard work in 2011. You all rocked it. I've never seen more consistent work from the team. ;0) You guys utterly amaze me. Doing so much with limited resources.

2012 looks like it's going to be a great year for our Media Department. I've already spoke with bishop and mentioned that in order for us to grow, we need to invest in our media department. I'm thinking 2012 will be the year we get our requests in for new gear & equipment.

I would also like to increase our faithful volunteer staff by 5-6 team members. This would give us much greater flexibility in our team.

On tap, is additional training. Additional gear purchases, and working that new gear into a new format in our production.

Very Exciting times this 2012 year :0D

Great, well, Red Team. Excellent work this past week. Thank you for showing up and Blue Team for stepping into the holes we had. Namely because of the holiday.

Everyone,

Wanted to thank y'all for a great service this past week. Everything looks and sounds great. You all rock. Wanted to thank everyone again for there hard work as we finish up the year on a high note.

Wanted to remind everyone about our Christmas program, Dec. 21st that's a Wednesday :0) Also, remind everyone of the last 2 Sunday's of the year. Well, kind of, better yet wanted to remind everyone of the Last Sunday of the year and the first Sunday of the new year :0)

We will be having Christmas Day service on Sunday 25th & New Year's Day service on Sunday January 1st. HOW FUN.

Well, Sunday 25th is Blue Sunday & Jan 1st is Red Sunday. I'm going to keep these days as is. So, Red/Blue Team, we're all set for those two dates. PLEASE CALL EMAIL TXT OR SEND SMOKE SIGNALS, SHOULD YOU NOT NOT NOT, BE AT THESE SERVICES.

Hope everyone is doing great. First of all great shout out to Trina. I've leaning on her heavily on Wednesday nights and she has done a great job. I'm also thankful to Ronnie Coleman and Rudy Herrera. You guys have been a great help. Thank you. Shout out to Daniel. These team members and others have covered Wed. night service, especially over the past few weeks that I've been out of pocket during the week. Thank you all. I really appreciate your help. Also, we have a couple of items coming up. One we have a meeting in about a month. Not sure if we're going to have it August 25th or August 24th. I'll update you on that one. But def. it's going to be the fourth week in August.

Also, there's a couple of new ways that we will be communicating with you all. I'm thinking either facebook, which almost everyone has one and/or a new tool that DFCC will be implementing in the next few weeks, called, The Table. I'll update you on that too.

Lastly, until we get our polos, we need to address our uniform. We will be using kakis & a black top. Polo or button down shirt or blouse. Well, looking forward to seeing everyone bright eyed and bushy tailed, Sunday at 8:30 AM.

We have now been on Pro Presenter 4 for a few weeks now. For sure 2 Sundays or so. It's been relatively smooth, but still learning how the program will interact with our services. So far so good. All presentation team members are so far enjoying the upgrade. Lots of fun stuff that we can now do with this new system. As soon as we have the computer/presentation side down, we'll begin introducing new features to our services.

Hope everyone is doing great today. Wanted to thank Blue Team for their hard work this weekend. Appreciate all you all do. Reminder that Red Team is up this coming weekend. YAY. Wanted to thank everyone for showing up to their presentation training. Exciting news that we have fully trained on ProPresenter 4 and are ready for working it on Sunday. I still found a couple of glitches with it, however, looked into it and just need to reconfigure the way it's laid out. We should be fine. We've used it Wednesday night, but not Sunday morning. However, this Sunday we WILL be using Pro Presenter 4. :0)

Reminder to all camera team members. We will have training this Thursday, June 30th beginning at 7:30 PM. We will be training on nomenclature (terms we use - briefly), camera set up and angles shots to be captured. We rarely have training and need ALL camera team members to attend.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there this Thursday.

Hope you all are having an excellent week. Everything turned out great this weekend. I want to thank all those who stepped out and volunteered for the Friday & Saturday events. Blue Team, thanks for you hard work this past weekend as well. You all rock.

Red Team you all are up this coming Sunday. So heads up. I got grief this past Sunday for bringing too many Chocolate Glazed donuts. However, I noticed that all the Chocolate Glazed donuts were gone. hmmmmmm. well, to bad, next time, i'm bring more chocolate glazed. ;0)

Lastly, we will be moving around presentation team members. We will be short in that particular area for a bit. So, wednesday night team members will be bumped up to Sundays. We'll be filling in Wednesday night as more members join.

Hope everyone is doing great. Wanted to thank everyone for your help on Sunday. We were short a couple of team members, but none the less everyone else pitched in to fill the void. Thanks guys.

Red Team, great job. Blue Team, you all are up next week. Also remember, that it's mother's day and we will have special things dropped on us later in the week. So keep an eye out for my emails, should things change.

As of right today, we will be recording this Friday night as a regular Sunday service. Meaning, two cameras, one presenter, as well as cd/ duplication in the media room. I'll be forwarding additional details to those that will be working Friday Night.

Saturday morning, we will be covering the women's brunch. We will only be capturing video, we will not be running audio or lighting, to my knowledge. Will also forward additional info to those working this Saturday's event.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ:

Have you guys ever gone to a public wash room, say Targé or Sears? Ever seen that list behind the door that says, time and initials of someone checking in on the bathroom? Well, if you haven't make a trip to Targé and have a look.

I'm hoping to draw up a similar "wash room" list (I'll come up with a name later) for the Media Team. You know, sometimes I take for granted that things just happen. It's not until one of our own is out for some needed rest (Elmore - You Rock), that we see how much this team member is valuable to us. Elmore just makes things happen on time, all the time, and does it very well.

So, as you all know, I'm forgetful, if it's not written down, I'll forget it. Sorry. But I confess it right, that's 50% of the issue. Ok, well the other 50% is to write it (proclaim it), so, we have tentatively called it, "The Wash Room List" that name might just stick.

A list that ALL of us, will pass by and see and make sure that "we're up on our times and duties" ALLRIGHT. I can here the excitement all the way over here.

Yay, March is here. :0) Feb is kinda slow for me. Don't know why, once March sets in, it's like spring is here and the cold is over. Anyways, ...

Alright Blue Team. You all rocked it this past week. You guys did an awesome job. Have a major meeting today with the powers that be and finalizing all the toys, errr, gear that we will be getting soon :D Stoked.

Red Team, you all are on this coming week. Remember, more updates coming soon. Lastly, wanted to thank all those who attended the Holy Ghost & baptism class for member orientation. You know, I recommend it. At first I was like "Do I have To". But after hearing Pastor Jones teach on it, you know, it was refreshing. Which is what we def. need. A refreshing. Guys, do sign up. The next one is next week or the following week. It is mandatory, and I really do recommend it.

You'll walk away knowing more and more empowered. Even though we carry the power within, it's nice for someone else to confirm it and those around you as well.

Everyone,

Hope you all are doing great. Wanted to touch base with everyone. First of all thanks to everyone who participated in our meeting this past Thursday. We got quite a bit of information to you all. I trust you all are as excited concerning our live production move as we are.. YAY.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the Holy Spirit class tomorrow night beginning at 7:00 PM. As per our meeting last Thursday, it's important to take care of ourselves first. That said, 7:00 PM sharp in the portables. looking forward to seeing the media team there tomorrow night.

Had some difficulty this past Sunday with audio. Not so much the quality, but how it was recorded to our camera and cd system. Had quite a bit to edit and correct before broadcast was actually completed. These are a few growing pains as we transition to our new production system. I truly am looking forward to it and am willing to bear this small bumps on the way to a greater Destiny. ;0)

Everyone,

Hope you all are doing great. Wanted to touch base and keep you up to date. Ok, well, thank God the cold spell is over. :0) It was so cold last week. As you know, this is why we postponed last weeks mandatory meeting. We moved it to this coming Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011 at 6:30 PM. Again, this is a mandatory meeting and am anxious to see everyone there. We will be covering some very important info on how we will be moving from a post production atmosphere to a live production atmosphere.

Very cool, everyone is def. going to enjoy the transition and have more fun with it. That said, remember to make room in your schedule this week for a 1 hour mandatory meeting this Thursday starting at 6:30 PM at the church sanctuary. See you there.

Hope you all are doing great. Thanks RED Team for the great help this past week during our first 5th Sunday of the year. Blue Team. Remember you all are on next 5th Sunday, however, Red Team, of course, as you know, you all are on this coming Sunday, 1st Sunday of February :0) YAY.....

As you all know, we have a mandatory meeting scheduled for this coming Thursday. However, take a look at the image below:

Man, it's going to be old this coming Thursday night. It might even be snowing, icy, etc... And of course if we get snow flurries, then the whole city has to shut down. RIGHT. Well, i'm preempting the snow and postponing this mandatory meeting for next Thursday, Feb. 10th, at 6:30 PM.

For those that have already confirmed. Thanks. Please mark your calendars for this mandatory meeting next week. For those that haven't please mark your calendar and make plans to be there. Again, very cool stuff happening that you all need to be there.

I hope you all are doing great. Wanted to remind you all of a couple of things:

1. Our last training of the year is this Thursday, Sept. 18th, 2010 at DFCC at 6:30 PM. This is our last training. For all new team members, you will be assigned your team (i.e. red/blue as well as an assigned work day and sub team i.e. camera, presentation etc...)

2. This coming Sunday is our three service pre launch. We will have a 9, 11 am and 1 pm service. Wow. Everyone will receive their assigned service this by the end of the day. Keep an eye out for it. You will also receive a phone call reminding you about it. As well as an email.

Hope you all are doing great. Everyone, you've all done a great job and I appreciate everyone who showed up to our mandatory training last thursday. Remember, we have one more training on 11.18.10, 6:30 PM. That's Nov. 18th at 6:30. We will be finalizing our training on audio, camera work as well as presentation work. Make sure to plan ahead to attend this last training for the year.

Also, wanted to wish Will a great and prosperous journey. Will's last Sunday was this past Sunday, and though he was tied up at work and couldn't attend church service, he will definitely be missed. Blue Team, way to go this past Sunday. Thanks for everyone pulling in to make a great day. Red Team you all are on next weekend, but remember Blue Team, this month we have 5th Sunday and you all are up this month. So remember 4th and 5th Sunday, Blue Team is ON. Thanks guys.

Ok, update, for the time being we are not having 3 service test in Nov. and Dec. This is what I know so far. However, the plan is to still go to 3 services next year. Not sure when though, I'll let you all know as I find out more information.

I also know that we're all feeling the crunch of having a team that's streamlined for optimum work flow. Meaning, we're barely filling all our positions. With the added work load of serving a Wednesday night service as a full service on Sunday, I know we're wearing you all out. DO NOT despair. I'm working hard on recruiting and getting in team member to help out. IF YOU ALL KNOW OF SOMEONE THAT WANTS TO JOING THIS GREAT TEAM, SEND THEM MY WAY. Remember, the more team members you all bring in, the faster we can train them, and the more rest we can have between volunteer days :0) YAY

Alright, well that's it remember, that the due date for your $10 polo is coming up fast. So drop off your $10 ASAP now.

Lastly, I wanted to say thank you to Elvis and Sarahita, who together have helped out our ministry. Elvis for being a faithful team member and Sarahita, for putting up with him working all the time. :0) The whole team will definitely miss you both and we will def. need to dig deep to find someone to replace those big shoes left void, we'll prob. need to find a few volunteers to fill those shoes.

Hope you all are doing great this morning. Wanted to thank everyone for pulling through this past weekend. We were slim on Team Red. We were able to get great footage and sound. You all rock :0)

Kudos to Brandon, who took on camera 02 for the first time by himself. He did an awesome job, thanks Brandon.

Heads up on the 3rd Sunday in Nov. and Dec. We're having a third service on those dates. Yes, it's 3rd Sunday, however, I'm working on how to have blue team work on of those weekends. Still working on it, but keep in back of mind.

Lastly, we have 5th Sunday this month. It's Blue Teams 5th Sunday. So heads up.

Ok one more, so far I have 3 team members who have purchased their $10 DFCC Production Polo. We will begin wearing these uniformed polos shortly and need everyone to pay their $10 ASAP. No later than Oct. 24th.

Lastly, we are in desperate need of cameramen & cameradudettes. We are over taxing Elmore as well as Claudia. They are our only camera 01 people. Special shout out to Elmore. Who, is always there before, I get to church. He's probably there before 7:30. Wow, that's early. He's faithful and can always count on him. Thanks Elmore :0)

Ok, all, well, have a couple of things to relay to you all:

1. Summer is over and so is our casual dress. I know, I'm going to miss it, however, it does not have to be that way. I still have the list of polo sizes for you all and we will begin using them as soon as I've picked up your portion of the polo fee. Yes, YOUR PORTION, even though Destiny is subsidizing a good portion of the Polo's they can't be complimentary. Sorry y'all. I will begin collecting your $10 for the Polo. I'm hoping to have them in 3 weeks after we finish receiving everyone's money. This way, we can all look sharp wearing our black DFCC Polo's. Nice. I'll have a list starting this Sunday.

2. We really need to have everyone show up on the day you all volunteer at 8:30 AM. At least. For a couple of reasons. We need to pray together, even though we all prepare for serving in this media on our own, we need to come together and pray for guidance and patience as we strive to better the ministry. So, for A service we will begin prayer at 8:30 AM in the sound room and for B service, we'll get together after A service in the sound room as well. Great. Hoping to see you all there bright eyed and bushy tailed.

Last week we captured the "Fruit of the Spirit" series. Though we were missing a couple of pastors, we got the majority of the Fruit covered. Look out for the final cuts soon. Everyone,

Hope you all are doing great. Wanted to thank all of you for such a great Sunday. Thanks Red Team. Everyone showed and put out there best effort. Everything flowed very smoothly. Just finished dropping the footage and everything looks great. You all rock.

Blue Team. You all are on this coming Sunday. So don't forget. Also, we will begin capturing the footage for the "Fruit of the Spirit" project on July 19th and 20th. That's about two weeks away. We have plenty of time to prepare. All the Pastor's and Elder's have been notified. We have just a couple left to confirm and that's it. We'll be ready to shoot. I'll post up the times and schedules that the Pastor's and Elders will be coming in. So for those working on the project. Keep those two days open. We will be shooting in the afternoon to early evening. (i.e. ~3:00-7:00 pm or so) Again, this is on July 19th and 20th.

Everyone,

I hope you all are doing great. Red Team, you all rock. Thanks for your help this Past Weekend. I also wanted to thank everyone for their hard work once again for the 2010 Wise Women Win Weekend. You all did a great job. All the footage and audio turned out great in the final DVD. I'm proud of you all.

Also, excited to let you all know that last Sunday, bishop's birthday weekend, is going to be put into a DVD. The 2nd service has already been edited and just waiting and the finishing touches to prepare a DVD for resale as well. We got great angles, great footage and an overall a great starting point. The editing went well too.

Blue Team you all are on this coming weekend. Looking forward to seeing everyone bright eyed and bushy tailed this coming Sunday at 8:30 AM. FYI, all team members will be setting up their equipment this coming Sunday. So 8:30 AM is recommended, earlier is preferred. Just letting you all know :0)

Lastly, this coming Thursday the 24th, we have our Volunteer Rally. I've had luke warm attendance and would like ALL of us to be there. It's important to get information to you all. PLEASE PLAN ON BEING AT OUR VOLUNTEER RALLY AT 7:00 PM.

Wanted to thank you all for pulling in this past Sunday. We were a bit short and everyone was able to cover for each other. You guys rock. First of all, I wanted to thank Elder Timothy Pender for his dedication through the past few years that I've lead this Media Ministry. He has been a pillar of support for the ministry and great council for me. I will surely miss him (and Sis. Pender) and the whole media team definitely will need to step it up a couple notches to compensate for his dedication. We wish Elder Pender Godspeed in his travels and Blessings to him and his family on this new chapter in their lives. We love you and you will be missed. (sob)

Hope you all are doing great. Wanted to update you concerning this weekend. First of all RED TEAM, your up. I need everyone to show up before 8:30 AM. I will NOT be in Sunday. I will be out of town in a conference. Again, if you can show up by 8:00 AM, that would be great. Remember, I'm trying to not baby you guys any more and direct you all to set yourself up for your assigned duty on Sunday's and Wednesday's.

You all know you're assignments and duties, so please be here on time and ready to go by about 8:30 AM.

Ok, second, we have purchased the upgrade to the presentation software we currently use. It's really cool and allows us to have more freedom. Also, faster scripture look ups. YAY. However, we will not be using it until we have some formal training on it. Training will be done the 3rd Thursday of this month. I'll send more info then. We will be training across the board with camera, presentation, cd production and probably sound as well. So mark your calendars for March 18th. That's like in three weeks. Hmmmmm pot luck? We'll see.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I wanted to thank everyone for lending in a hand while other team members were out. Thanks again and great job Red Team. Blue Team, get ready for this Sunday, it's fourth Sunday and it's you all are up. Remember it's casual Sunday, so feel free to dress comfy, yet businessy. :0)

For all those who showed up at our monthly meeting, you all rock. Your input was passed along and suggestions have been taken in. I truly appreciate your input. It is only from this input that allows us to grow.

One suggestion was made for our future meetings. To make it "pot luck" . I think it's a great idea, however, we might need to change our Wednesday night meetings to Tuesday or Thursday. We'll need a bit to eat and socialize, and then a bit more to meet. This is just my thought. If you all think we can eat, socialize and meet in about an hour from 6:00-7:00 LETS DO IT. Another suggestion is start our meeting at 5:30. This gives us a chance to eat then have our meeting or training at 6:00 PM.

What do you all think? I think def. food, but time and date are pending YOUR INPUT.

Everyone, hope all is great. :0) Want to thank everyone for a great job this past Sunday. You all rock. I'm so glad you all can just do what you're good at, which makes us so consistent. Which is great.

I spoke to a few team members and I'm going to keep the teams as is for the time being. We just hit a snag, you know holiday season and team members were out visiting friends and family members. This happened before during the summer months. I guess it's just a fact of life huh.

I'm still thinking about doing a facebook page or group and having us visit there, but unsure yet. Already heard from a couple of team members that prefer this blog and email. We'll see as the weeks go by.

Lastly, I spoke to a few of y'all about three projects that we will be working on for the year. Very excited about them. We have a firm idea of where the these projects will be going, i.e. direction. Just need to get to the nitty gritty and coordinate the shoots and stuff. We will be having a meeting next month for the whole team and we will be having training as well. So look out for those dates.

Alright everyone. New year, new beginnings huh. Well, I'm stoked, not sure about everyone else, however, it feels like everything is falling into place here. We have new projects coming up this year and will be assigning new roles within the next few weeks. I want to make sure everyone is in town. I know a few of us have been taking the opportunity to relax and visit with family during this winter break. Well, enjoy y'all, you very much have earned the break.

I am so proud and pleased with everyone's work ethic and progress. Everyone has improved and has taken it up a notch. I have been told that we've been doing a great job. It's do to everyone that we have great stuff coming out. I've been inquired of how we go about producing such great work and our excellence in our ministry, because it shows in our broadcast. I've been told that our ministry is like a duck swimming though a lake. "above is this duck breezing through the waters, but below, the duck's feet are peddling the mess out of the water." Well, that's us, we make it look easy on screen, but we all know that it's due to YOUR hard work that makes it look so good. Kudos everyone.

First post of the year and am thinking of changes. 1. thinking about moving this post to a facebook page on our destiny facebook account. What do you all think? Does everyone have face book? Let me know. 2. thinking of changing and mixing up the teams. I thought about doing this during the summer, but understand that those are breaks, much like winter break. So i'll keep that in the back burner for a bit. 3. INPUT, believe it or not, I do value input, improvements to production, post production or work ethic, or whatever, It's always welcomed. If you feel embarrassed about posting your ideas, please email me, I won't tell anyone. (fyi, make sure you don't click respond all) Not that that's happened to me, but am sure, it will be funny.

Everyone is complimenting DFCC Productions and the amazing job you all did. You all ROCK. From audio to video and presentation, everything worked great. Shout outs to all of y'all who pulled double duty yesterday. :0)

Just wanted to send a post out to you concerning the rescheduling of our Christmas Party until next week. I'm afraid there was so much going on this weekend and I found it necessary to move it back on week. We are still on though.

Famous Dave's is catering, please bring your $10 to church tomorrow. If you are bringing a significant other, please bring their portion as well. Also, I would love to do a gift exchange, but let's put it off this year. :0(. I know, sad face. I know, I've become Scrooge. Sorry guys, couldn't organize it properly.

Lastly, I should have everyone's polo size by now. If I don't please give to me tomorrow. I will need to submit it sometime next week or the following. Probably after the holidays, but none the less I need your sizes :0) We will start wearing our uniform shortly, but until then, black top and kakis, except dress down. Go for it, and chill the way you best like to express yourself, but business casual is preferred. :0)

Hope you all are doing great. Alright, got several reply's about the party. It's a go for Dec 19th. I'm assuming about 6ish or so. However, I'll update you all on that later. Now about gift exchange. Do we want a gift exchange? Also, do we want to cater or Pot Luck. Last year was a blast, I think so. Food was great, of course it was Famous Dave's hmmmmm. ribs....... oh and bread muffins

If we do - do a gift exchange, my gift buddy's limit is $250 everyone else is $20. what do you think. :0) (joke is heavily implied here. really...) .... really Anyone else have an idea on this?

All, hope everyone is doing awesome this week. I wanted to thank Blue Team for an awesome job this past week. We have all been pulled in diff. directions this past week. From the Gala to the food giveaway, it's been a very busy week. I and all the congregation appreciate not only Blue Team, but everyone's hard work. You guys ROCK :0)

Not sure, if you all knew this, but we have 5th Sunday coming up. This is the last 5th Sunday of the year. Yay. hmmm, so well, last 5th Sunday it was Red Team's Sunday. Sooooo hmmmm, this Sunday is BLUE TEAM's YAY. As if you all didn't work hard enough this past Sunday. See you guys this Sunday bright eyed and bushy tailed :0)

Good Morning everyone. Hope you all are doing great. Wanted to thank Red Team last week for the awesome job you all did. Kudos to you. Wanted to give you a heads up on a couple of new items

We will begin wearing polos shortly. Black polos, cause we're cool like dat. However, I believe I need to get polo sizes from you everyone shortly. I'll have a sign up list on Sunday or hopefully tonight. Meanwhile, we need everyone to begin wearing black tops and kakis "a la t d jakes event, 'member?" Besides, we'll look cool, so we'll begin wearing black tops this weekend, k.
If you all haven't visited or signed up to www.planningcenteronline.com it's time to do so. We will begin using this service planning exclusively for media only during the month of Dec. One can say that we are the guinea pigs here, but I think, we're the perfect group. Early adopters and open to new technologies. Hmmm, i digress, I think choir and praise team are also guinea pigs, errrr early adopters. Well, as previous emails have mentioned, this new online service will allow us to plan for service appropriately. We will be emailing everyone who is on and possible even txting directly from the website. While we fully implement this service, I will still be emailing and txting reminders to you. :0) yay.
We have a new digital audio board in our sound room. Way cool. The audio team has done an awesome job setting it up. Thanks audio dudes and dudettes.

Red team rocked yesterday. I appreciate you all. Thanks for all your help. Remember, New Red Team Members. You all are NOT, working this Wednesday night. Go out and enjoy Joyce Meyers at ALFC. So, just reminding you all. :0) Blue Team you all are on next Wednesday.

Announcement Team, we will be having some welcomed additions to our announcer position on DFCC News. How cool huh. More info and scheduled announcers to be recorded during 2nd service will be coming soon. I'll email everyone on that as well as post here later.

Audio Team Rocks. Not sure if you all noticed, but we don't have 20 lead singers any more in the choir. We now have a choir and one or two leads. How awesome and controlled environment that is. Explanation: we used to have, like 10 mics on stage, but now only have three condenser mics as well as a few hanging choir mics. They choir/praise team now can balance themselves singing, as a choir should do, and not have the audio team running around like a chicken without it's head, every Sunday Service.

Kudos to the Audio Team for making that happen. I noticed a significant improvement in sound. I'm sure it's only going to get better. Also, the sound room is getting a new digital mixer this Friday, for the whole complex and audio for video, and will hopefully set this mixer up sometime there after. We will now be able to record individual tracks directly to our mac in the sound room and splice edit and overall improve the audio before we burn a cd or upload to iTunes. Just wanted to give you all the good news.

Video, we will soon have an additional tripod, so we won't have to be using mine any more. YAY. Along with this new tripod, my hope is to set up our camera 2 to be stationary and allow us to get better tighter shots. We might even be hooking up this camera two our switcher for live switching during service. How do you like that presentation team :0)

Hope you all are doing great. Getting some info. into your hands. First of all thanks Red Team for an awesome Sunday Service. I also want to remind all New Red Team Members, you all will be working this Wednesday nights bible study. Everyone from camera, to presentation to audio. You attendance is requested to finish up your training. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Some updates:

We are hoping to implement www.planningcenteronline.com By now, most of you all have received a welcome email from this address. This online service will allow us to plan our service, campus wide. Meaning, we will be able to see what the choir, praise team, band, production team, etc.. is doing. It will also allow DFCC Productions to plan accordingly for special events and regular duties. It's looking like a great solution. More on this later, but you should be receiving updates from planning center or dfcc soon. So keep an eye out.

We have received both Video and Audio from T D Jakes Friday Event. Audio will be made available in the bookstore beginning as early as this Wednesday Night.

REMEMBER NEW RED TEAM VOLUNTEERS. YOU ALL ARE WORKING THIS WEDNESDAY NIGHT. I'll be at the church at 6:00 PM, but you all should be there by 6:30. See you then.

Everyone, hope you all are doing great. Wanted to bring everyone up to speed on further training for our staff. As many of you all know, we will be continuing our training for our new volunteers. This training will consist of actual practice during a service. However, this will not be a live Sunday service but a live Wednesday Night Bible Study.

We will continue to do everything we normally do during Sunday Services, but on Wednesday nights. Or rather, our new volunteers, will continue to do everything the senior volunteers do during Sunday Mornings.

EVERYONE, it's important we present and hold a spirit of excellence in our lives. Such a spirit will only produce excellence in all we do, to include the commitment we have been charged with as members of the media ministry. I strongly believe that we can all excel in our media ministry. We have taken our broadcast and in service presentation to a new level over the past couple of years and now are expected to continue that growth to greater heights.

It has been said that "practice makes perfect" and because our new team members need much practice and we can't afford to have anyone learn from their mistakes on Sunday Morning. We're

learning from our mistakes on Wednesday Night. Which has been approved by Bishop. That being said: Happy Learning Staff :0)

We will run our Wednesday night assignments like our regular Sunday assignments, Meaning: 1,2,3,4, & 5th wednesday will be run by our red and blue teams alternating schedules

. I will try and post up those schedules some time today or Wednesday. However, the first Wednesday of Oct. is our beginning month for practice and red team will be on. then blue, etc...

Just finished editing this past Sunday's broadcast. Looks great everyone. You all are doing an awesome job. :0) Have information concerning the PHIPA Conference as well as T D Jakes' event at ALFC.

First, the PHIPA Conference. Our media team has been requested to provide video footage of the main conferences in the sanctuary as well as audio recording of the like. We will be needing the following for 9.16.09-9.19.09:

audio work on main sanctuary board

duplication of CD's as well as archiving of master audio files and duplicates of masters

for the following dates and times:

thursday: 9.17.09 - 2:0-5:00 pm

friday: most of the day except for the jakes evening event

saturday: 9.19.09 - 10:00-12:00 PM

That's it. Not much huh. Just we actually do on Sunday's :0) But for a few days in a row. So this is what I need:

I would like the team to volunteer where you are available. I have already received word from a couple of team members that will be taking the days off to help out. Not only will we be serving a greater cause, but can also listen in on the conference and be fed, while working (spiritually), although snacks will be provided as well.

Those who volunteer during this event will be given the opportunity to "shadow" ALFC Media Staff during the Jake's evening event. Now, by shadow, I use that term kinda loosely, as not sure to what extent we will be shadowing, but will have more info on that after I speak with our Pastorship and the ALFC Media people. However, this opportunity comes with a "pass", allowing us to attend the evening event earlier and avoiding the foreseen long lines. hmmmmmm, that sounds cool.

Kind of a good deal huh. Well, please email me if you are interested in working during the PHIPA conference. I need to turn in these names ASAP. Talk to you soon.

I wanted to thank everyone that attended and helped during our training sessions these past two Thursdays. You ROCK. I'm glad everyone was able to get some hands on training. I will be posting final Team assignments this week as well as which team members will be continuing their training as shadows (oooooo, shadows, ooooooooooo). I hope this posting finds everyone in good health. I'm so excited to have so many new recruits helping us in our media ministry. We will now have many more hands, which always makes the load light. Thanks again to all the new recruits.

Friendly reminder that we're going to be having our formal training this Thursday, July 30th and next Thursday, August 6th both at 6:30 PM. We shouldn't be more than one and a half hours. Really :0)

We will be covering quite a bit, therefore, we will be starting right on time. As much of the training is hands on, it's important we see everyone at 6:30. Ok, enough of the particulars.

Great new for us all. We have now received a new Canon video camera that records directly to disk. Along with a new pro level, wireless mic and body pack. This will allow us to record a few new items that our leadership has requested of us. We also received some additional on camera lighting gear, that will help us shoot better in the dark. Namely, for D2. They like to be in the dark. We light up the dark :0). At least now we will. Remember, we're the light of the world (corny, i know).

Speaking of D2, we will have some of their staff training along side ours. D2 will be covering a few things for our ministry such as man on streets, exit interviews as well as capturing clips for D2 and GOD School. This definitely is exiting for us as we desparately needed an additional camera for this type of work. We'll definitely find other uses for this new equipment. Training will be performed on this new gear beginning this Thursday as well.

Our switcher (person in charge of switching our computer screens from live to computer, scriptures, lyrics, etc..), will be not only enjoying the pleasure of learning a new presentation application, but for some a brand new, very stable operating system, Apple OS. oooooooooooooo yes, deserves another oooooooooooooo No worries, it's as easy as falling off a bike. But we first need to learn how to ride this new bike :0)

Well, won't keep you, but just wanted to give you all heads up as to our up coming formal training. Have a couple of things planned for these two days, but need to confirm. Will let you know what's up as well as training points as the formal training day nears.

Everyon, hope you all are doing great. Blue team you all did a great job this past weekend. Appreciate all your hard work. Red Team you all are on next week. :0) Bad news everyone, :0( No more Krispy Kreams. I know, I feel it too. I stopped by Sunday morning at a local convenience store and found the Krispy Kream racks empty. Kinda figured they hadn't put them out so I asked. To no avail, "we are no longer carrying Krispy Kreams." It was fun while it lasted. I'll figure out something to fatten you all up with, no worries. :0)

Concert went great both services, not according to plan, but you all adapted great. Really great job everyone. Also, we will be having training this month or beginning of next month for presentation team as well as camera team. Some cross training is mandated, but that's to be expected huh.

We have received our new presentation software and will be receiving our new "Mac Mini" soon. Our presentation team has got this training cut out for them, as not only will they be learning presentation software, but for some, a new operating system, albeit, easier operating system, but none the less new and different :0).

I will be in touch with the presentation team personally to schedule this training. Probably on a Tuesday during the week. We will be going over several topics as well as mock sermons to help us prepare for actual service presentation.

wanted to remind Red Team that you guys are on this Sunday :0) yeaay. also, will try and have more Krispy's this coming Sunday, however, for some reason, they like all vanished. i mean, i did my thing to prep for service, and was looking forward to my donut, chocolate glazed, hmmm, with sugar glazed too i guess. you know, the kind of donut that goes straight to your hips. yeah, that's the one i wanted to savor after my 7:30 arrival and 8:30 finish, but the donut monster arrived and stole my donut. :0( hmmmm, i'm not bitter, not at all, just need to get my krispy fix today. :0)

Also, i need to start reporting to admin. those volunteers that are scheduled to work, but hmmmmm, don't. it's just a coincidence that "blue team" and "those volunteers that are scheduled to work, but don't" phrases came up. Really, Really. ... really, but need to start reporting to our assigned Deacon, Deacon Avery (al on sound board). Wanted to thank everyone for such a great job on Sunday. Especially our announcement team. You guys worked hard on Sunday. Even though we were short staffed, you were able to pull it off and honestly, it was easier to edit than before. I liked the fact that after every take, the taping stopped. This allowed me to actually prep each file individually. This helped so much. So much so, that we're going to be doing that from now on. We will record an announcement take, then after we're done, we'll stop the taping and continue with a different take. This really helped, can't stress how much easier this was.

Shout out to Mallonda for doing ALL the announcements this week. Both Elder Mike and Minister Karen, were out of town. Make sure you all let her know how good a job she did. Don't forget the camera man (mario), he rocks too.

BLUE TEAM, guess what, we were a bit short from you all this past Sunday. We managed, but please let me know if you can't make it, we can pull from red team if needed. But no worries, you can all make it up this coming Sunday, as it's Fifth Sunday, and it's BLUE FIFTH SUNDAY. Remember last 5th Sunday, red team had to work 2 Sundays in a row. Well, now it's Blue Team's turn. Looking forward to seeing everyone by 8:30 AM Sunday morning.

Everyone, hope you all are doing great. Wanted to update everyone on a couple items. However, first, I want to give kudos to Deacon Avery (al-sound board) and Elvis - don't be cruel :0) (sound board/lighting guro) on an awesome job this past Sunday for the Wise Women Win brunch. We were out last week gathering equipment and staging for Saturday. Saturday, morning at about 7:00 Set up began, tear down didn't finish until everything was brought back to the church and left at about 5:00 PM. I know it was tiring and I want to say how much your efforts are appreciated. We couldn't have had such a successful conference without both of you all. Thanks guys.

Ok, remember Red Team. You are on this week. Please meet in the production room by 8:30 AM. It's very important to prepare for service then. So see you all there, bright eyed and bushy tailed :0)

2nd, our purple team (announcement team). Is doing an awesome job, don't you all think? Thanks guys. You know, even though purple is a combination of red and blue, literally and team wise, I'm not liking the purple team "name". Now, i'm thinkig of something cooler. such as the "annie" team? hmmmmmmm, what do you all think, we'll stick with purple team if the team decides to do this, please post and let me know.

On that note, we may be moving our taping sessions to Sunday during Bishop's B Service Sermon. This will allow us to record and prepare simultaneously for Bishop's intro and outro, etc... This is a very real possibility and I really hope this happens as everyone I spoke to on our announcement team so far, loves the idea. I agree as well. Please email, post or let me know.

We're creating our own content very shortly and preparing for a big recording session, of our pastors, both still, and video. This is going to be a location recording at a local park. We will be setting up light panels, cameras and microphones during this session. We will be using these new clips for our intro to our broadcast. If you all are interested in participating in this mini hollywood style production, please let me know. I will def. need helping hands. We'll be having it the end of May. Actually the last Friday of the month is our current date, however, there has been talk to move it around. I will let you all know by the end of next week what the firm date is, if not sooner.

Everyone, hope you all are doing great. Red team did great last week. Awesome. Camera two, you guys are doing great. Your shots are very steady and on. I have literally increased my usable shots by like 300%. I wonder why? Hope the new monopod is easy to use. Thanks.

I think we're caught up as far as uploading to our broadcast to our website. We were behind a bit because of my absence for like 5 days here. Wow, really missed my family while in NAB (national association of broadcast) By the way, get ready for some cool changes. Mostly, just in our graphics for broadcast. I have been practicing some new looks and hope to have them out soon. Also, have quite a few ideas for some video intros created by us. I will be sending you these ideas shortly by email and hope to have you give me some feed back. Maybe a pow wow over these ideas during our next meeting, which is like in 2 weeks :0)

When I was out, a couple Sundays ago, everything went great. We had a bump with our after service recording of Bishop, with our audio, but that was corrected so no worries there. Our announcement team is doing a great job as well as office staff getting the announcements to us by Wednesday. Elder Yeary is doing an awesome job as well as our girls :0) (Claudia & Mallonda - our female hosts). Make sure you all give all of them a "Great Job" greeting, I'm sure they'll appreciate it.

Our announcement team is doing an awesome job. We're getting really good at the green screen and can begin to expand it. Any ideas for projects are greatly appreciated.

Well, great job all and remember blue team is on this week. Best wishes to Becky who is missed and hope she'll visit when in town.

All, as you might now, I was out last week and didn't have a chance to post. Here you go. Everything went awesome the Sunday I was at NAB. You guys rock. Everything went smooth and editing was a breeze thanks to everyone. Just wanted to post this quick one. I'll post more of what's up for this week and how our new announcements are coming along.
